Admiral Bob, Ciggiburns, and SackJo22 are 3 of my favorite artists to work with from ccmixter, so it’s a real treat to be able to work them all into one remix together. This one just kind of fell in my lap.
I think it helps to have a musician’s ear when trying to match stuff like this up. Doing a weekly podcast of the latest remixes every week for the past 2 years helps too, at least in having a vague familiarity of what’s available in the archive.
For this remix, I added nothing in terms of new tracks. Did a bunch of cutting and moving around, panning things, and making some subtle changes to the basic arrangement. Admiral Bob did a stellar job with the backing music to the point it really needed nothing. Just a good massage. Same with the ladies.
